New Design for SevenSages.com

It always takes way too long for developers to do their own websites, since we are usually busy taking care of everyone else. And we can sometimes wrestle with wanting perfection.

This site is no where near perfect. 7s-icon_50x50.gifIt needs work, but as with everything in life we can wait forever for perfection and have nothing, or utilize what we have and improve on it. So, we choose to move forward.

The biggest change is the splitting of the Blog content to a different website, and an attempt to simplify this site for the few people who visit it.Tongue out

Like so many other websites, we started to blog, trying to add new content to the site every few weeks. And over time, most of the blog didn't really have anything to do with the company or the website. Instead it might be tips about something technical, or some dumb personal comments from me (Brian).

Not that anyone would be using our site as a Home Page, or checking in weekly to see what dummy Brian has to say. And that's the odd part about blogging. It tends to get personal, and that's not always a good thing for a business, is it?

Personable, not personal.

Business always had a form of the 'blog' and it was called something simple like Company News, or Press Releases. And that should always be, as it's good to keep people informed, and good to keep an ongoing history of a company. But blogging is something different, and we need to keep it away from business.

So, in an effort to keep this website more focused, we created a separate site for Tips and Marketing ideas: www.go-7s.com. And it will likely have a blog for personal insight and stupidity.
