What's my email address?
Common question. Here's a few mistakes:
AOL users live in a word of 'usernames', so they might just put 'doglover32' as their address. That's fine, if you stick to the restricted confines of AOL, and only communicate with other on AOL. Problem: It's missing @ something.com(net)(org)
An email address is simple. It's a NAME (at) A PLACE
So, it will ALWAYS be something like

Email addresses given as a web address.
How many times have you heard this one? "Yeah, I got a website. The address is
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
"
Wrong. Your email address is NOT a web site, or web address.
Let's keep it simple:
email addresses: Name@somewhere
Website address: www.somewhere.com (or .org, .net, .biz, etc)
Website address is also known as URL (Universal Rescourse Locator).
Email formatting:
For addressing email, you can use any mix of Uppercase/Lowercase. So, you can use
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
, or
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
Whatever you think looks better. It will get delivered.
Your URL (website address) is similar, upto the .com/
Example: www.myComPany.com = WWW.MYcompaNY.com
However, after this, CASE matters. Everything must be exact on the otherside of the .com/
Example: mycompany.com/happydays/ is NOT the same as mycompany.com/HappyDays/
To confuse things more, MYcomPaNy.com/happydays/ is ok. That's because the web Name is not case sensitive. Just the content.
Why is this important?
Because when you create your business cards, you can type it out so it is easier to read. Such as

(it helps to separate the words for easier reading). |
